Akanthos specialises in crafting the finest hand-made English furniture. Although recently formed, Akanthos is a team of craftsmen, who between them have over 170 years of experience making some of the most exquisite furniture in England.

Our experience has led us to be involved in world-wide commissions, which includes supplying palaces through to luxury yachts and designing and crafting furniture for the Interior Design market. We are committed to keeping the traditions and quality of handcrafted English furniture, manufacturing only to the highest standards of design and construction.

All the furniture is designed and manufactured in our Norfolk workshop by our craftsmen cabinetmakers, polishers, designers and upholsterers. Great care is taken to select the finest materials to create each individual piece.

Among our designs to be launched in 2009 will be a selection of styles from the 'Golden Age' of furniture along with more contemporary designs created from our experience in the Designer-led market.
