BFM seminar on the Machinery Directive requirements for motorised furniture
Scope now includes powered domestic, office and contract furniture
Thursday 30th November 2017 at Cranmore Park
All electrically actuated furniture sold in Europe will now need to be CE marked in accordance with the Machinery Directive (note: medical devices are exempt).
The CE mark must also be displayed on the product and a risk assessment carried out and a complete technical file retained. A certificate of conformity for a product must be issued by a responsible person, although a designated body need not be involved.
